Electro Physiology study of the heart is an invasive test to see the electrical activation & propagation of impulses in both normal and abnormal rhythm. It detects different rhythm disturbance of the heart, identifies accessory conduction pathways & focus of abnormal impulse generation through the help of some catheters. Radio frequency ablation inactivates the abnormal pathway & focus of abnormal impulses.
